Los Angeles, July 21 – Probably the crowd of dogs that pattered down the carpet at the premiere of "Must Love Dogs" didn’t mind the clammy plastic feel of the Astroturf in the summer heat, but really, they couldn’t tell us if they did, right? Although John Cusack was disappointingly absent, costars Stockard Channing, Dermot Mulroney and Elizabeth Perkins followed the dogs to the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. Star Diane Lane was with husband Josh Brolin. (We were secretly hoping for an unannounced appearance by stepmother-in-law Barbra Streisand, but that wasn’t happening.) Selma Blair must love dogs, because she checked out the romantic comedy with her husband Ahmet Zappa.
