A group which claims it has links to al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility for Thursday's second London bombing according to a posting on a Web site often used by Islamic militants.
The group, which called itself the Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades also threatened additional attacks in the future unless European troops get out of Iraq.
'Our attack in the heart of the infidel British capital is nothing but a message to all European governments that we will not rest until all the infidel troops leave Iraq,' the statement said.
'This is a warning to all those who follow the policies of the president of infidel America,' it added.
In a second statement, the group made threats against specific cities, saying, 'Our next word will be in the heart of European capitals, in Rome, Amsterdam and Denmark, since their soldiers are still in Iraq, running to the orders of their American and British masters.'
The Abu Hafs al-Marsi Brigades are the same group that claimed responsibility for the July 7 bombings in London that killed 56 people and the bombings last year in Madrid. Security experts have expressed doubts about the organization.
