Colin Farrell won round one of his fight to keep a homemade sex video out of the public eye. A Los Angeles judge issued a temporary restraining order preventing Farrell's ex-girlfriend and 'Playboy' model, Nicole Narain, from releasing the video to any media outlet.
According to Farrell, the 14 minute long tape was made by the former couple for their own private viewing only. According to the actor, the agreement was verbal.
Farrell is also seeking damages in the lawsuit saying that his reputation and ability to earn money in Hollywood would be compromised if the tape were to be released. The 29-year-old actor, best known for his roles in 'Alexander' and 'Phone Booth,' wants the video kept out of the public eye.
Also named in the lawsuit were David Hans Schmidt, a publicist and agent, and Paul Nash, who the lawsuit claims is the marketing director of Internet Commerce Group which allegedly owns a large number of pornographic websites.
According to Farrell's lawyers, the defendants were out to 'commercially exploit' the tape.
A hearing in the case has been scheduled for August 10.
