Actor Colin Farrell filed suit in a Los Angeles court on Monday against his former girlfriend. The suit alleges that Nicole Narain is attempting to distribute a sex tape of Farrell and herself to the public through an intermediary. According to the 29-year-old actor, he and Narain had an agreement not to make the 15 minute tape public.
The lawsuit seeks monetary damages and a temporary restraining order preventing Narain from distributing or profiting from the tape.
'Defendants' outrageous attempt to capitalize on the celebrity of plaintiff Colin Farrell ... through their unauthorized commercial exploitation of the highly private and confidential videotape exceeds all bounds of common human decency,' the lawsuit states.
The lawsuit also asserts that the release of the video would irreparably harm Farrell's career and reputation.
