Sundance Film Festival News: Billy Boyd will be attending the Premiere of


Stars Peter Mullan, Brenda Blethyn and Billy Boyd will be at the Sundance Film Festival together with director Gaby Dellal, producers Dorothy Berwin and Sarah Curtis, and executive producer Nick Hill, for the world premiere on Friday, January 21 of the UK feature "On A Clear Day".

Written by Alex Rose, the film's story is about Frank (played by Peter Mullan), a man who determines to salvage his self-esteem and tackle his demons by attempting the ultimate test of endurance - swimming the English Channel. Icon Entertainment International is handling international sales for the film.

An acclaimed actor, director and writer, Peter Mullan has appeared in numerous films, among them "Braveheart", "Trainspotting", "The Magdalene Sisters" (which he also directed), "Criminal" and "My Name is Joe", for which he won the Best Actor Award at Cannes.

Brenda Blethyn is one of Britain's best known and loved actresses who was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actress in "Secrets and Lies" and for Best Supporting Actress in "Little Voice". Other notable film credits include "A River Runs Through It", "Saving Grace" and Kevin Spacey's recently released "Beyond the Sea".

The Hobbit, Pippin, from "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, Billy Boyd is now one of the most easily recognized faces on the screen. Among his other important roles was his performance in "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World".

"On A Clear Day" will be screened at Sundance as follows:
