Producer Adam Sandler has tapped his 'Happy Gilmore' director Dennis Dugan to helm new comedy 'Bench Warmers, for Revolutions Studios.

Starring former SNL stars Rob Schneider and David Spade, the film cneters on a trio of athletically challenged guys who intend to re-gain their self-esteem by challenging little league baseball teams.

Although a third lead has yet to be found, Revolutions apparently intends to fast track the project, announcing an April start date for a probable early 06 release.
