What better way to begin the new year than with the very first, juicy, tender, Bond rumour! It’s been a while since we’ve had one, and this one might just spark the flame for good!
Fansite CommanderBond.net caught a report from the James Bond International Fan Club chairman David Black where, it seems, old Pierce might have spoken too soon.
Writes Black, “Although the media reports that Pierce has had enough of the ongoing Bond debate and ruled himself out - I have heard rumours that some further negotiations may have just taken place and he may still be back for the new film due for release in 2006. Don't rule him out just yet - that's all I can say on the subject!!”
Of course this type of report regarding an on/off relationship between Brosnan and EON isn’t new, but with the strongly-rumoured ‘Casino Royal’ remake said to be intended alongside Bond 21, the idea might be to have exit the old with 21, and introduce the new guy in ‘Casino’.
