CHICAGO (February 19, 2005) - Sonia and Rikki Lee Travolta welcomed the birth of a baby boy on Valentines Day, February 14: Valentino Truth Travolta.
The newborn was named in honor of legendary film icon Rudolph Valentino.
The second most famous member of the entertainment family behind John Travolta of “Grease” and “Pulp Fiction” fame, Rikki Lee Travolta is one of the Top Five world-wide draws in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”
Travolta originally gained respect internationally as a Shakespearean leading man with critically acclaimed appearances as the title characters in “Hamlet” and “Romeo and Juliet,” and Marc Anthony in “Julius Caesar.”
The Travolta next demonstrated his United States box office prowess by achieving national commercial fame touring the country as an Elvis-inspired heartthrob in the Broadway classic “Bye Bye Birdie” and as the eternal romantic comedy groom in the record-breaking “Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding.”
Travolta’s combination of Shakespearean talent and cover model looks have catapulted him in U.K. bookmaker William Hill’s betting odds as a 20:1 leading contender to be dubbed the newest James Bond in the upcoming “Casino Royale” feature film.
His best selling, semi-autobiographical novel “My Fractured Life” about the life of a modern matinee idol has been fast-tracked for development as a motion picture by Dan Riley and Peter J. Clark at Port Magee Pictures.
Sonia Travolta is an exotic beauty of Brazilian, Jordanian, and German descent. She is the executive manager of the immediate family’s film and stage entertainment properties.
In addition to being their son’s birthday, Valentine’s Day is also the couple’s wedding anniversary.
The couple also has a nine year old daughter: Jessica Sara.
