Prosecutors in Philadelphia indicated they do not have enough credible evidence to prosecute comedian Bill Cosby in a sex case.
Cosby's accuser, a 31-year-old native of Pickering, Ontario, claimed that in January 2004, he had drugged her to make her dizzy and then fondled her at his mansion. The 67-year-old Cosby has denied all claims.
Prosecutors said they had 'insufficient credible and admissible evidence' to charge Cosby with any crime according to a statement released by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
Another reason charges were not brought was that the woman waited a year to bring the claim and had contacted Cosby over the past year after the alleged incident took place.
Another woman had come forward with similar claims dating back 20 years ago but the DA said that no past incidents existed 'where anyone complained to law enforcement of conduct which would constitute a criminal offense.'
