On the stands next week, Sylvester Stallone will be premiering his new Magazine 'Sly', aimed at middle-aged men who still feel a little young. Since publisher AMI has signed for a three-issue star deal, Stallone will be looking to start with a bang by including in each of the initial three issues part of the 'Roky 6 ' script.
The storyline for the long-awaited *cough * sequel is rumoured to see Rocky, now a restaurateur, struggle with the demise of his beloved 'Adriaaaaan', while trying to maintain a relationship with his son. Sly had announced a finished script back in late-2003, which he said was inspired by real-life boxer George Foreman. He had even hinted that should the movie happen, Foreman would be offered a part.
Strangely enough, the time may be right for Sly to dust off his new property, something he's been talking about for quite sometime. Not exactly because of the mag, nor his recent movies, and not even his upcoming Reality show to debut in March. He's experiencing a huge boost mainly in UK because of none other than his mom, 71-year-old Jacqueline Stallone. According to British retail chain Woolworth, Jacqueline's appearence eon Celebrity Big Brother was followed by a 300% increase in sales of Stallone movie, and 150% on the online rental side. There's a lesson to be learned there. Just not sure exactly what it is.
