Yahoo! has launched a beta version of a new toolbar that is made just for the Mozilla Firefox browser. Previously, a Yahoo! toolbar was only available with Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

This is yet another bit of evidence that the Mozilla Firefox was becoming more accepted by users and that Microsoft can expect more competition in the near future.

The toolbar is free and available at the Yahoo! website. In the near future, Yahoo! hopes to have versions for Linux and MacOS-X as well.

Amazon.com also now has a toolbar for Firefox compatible with its A9 search engine.
