New York, February 3 – We would’ve sworn that "Hitch" was a big budget Hollywood movie, but like your grandmother, it had to go through Ellis Island before it could settle in the United States. No, it isn't Will Smith’s first foreign film; the premiere was at the Ellis Island Museum. We can only imagine the trembling of executives at Fred Leighton jewelers and Kwiat diamonds as the loaned baubles had to go through mega-security before Eva Mendes, Amber Valletta and Jada Pinkett Smith could board the ferries that swept them across New York Harbor. And go figure, they somehow got Josh Lucas, Missy Elliott, Russell Simmons and Jerry Stiller to sail over to catch the comedy.
