Mr. and Mrs. Marc Anthony will perform together for the first time at this month's Grammys. As a couple, J'Lo and Mark have kept a low profile, preferring to keep their relationship private. This duet will be their first public appearance together. The Academy has not yet announced what song they will be singing, but it is thought that it may be one of the songs that they recorded for her album, Rebirth, which is scheduled to be released on March 1. One track in particular, 'You Got Me,' may be a natural choice.
The couple has been working together on two albums, one in Spanish and one in English, and have also recorded a song for the film Shall we Dance. This song, 'Escapémonos,' appears on two of Anthony's albums, one of which is nominated for Best Latin Pop Album, and the other for Best Salsa Merengue Album).
The Anthony's seem to be making beautiful music together, and Jen has stated that it doesn't feel like work at all. 'It just started flowing and we just had these incredible songs,' she said recently. 'We just kept going, kept with the flow, and it was really an incredible, growing process. Marc's kind of created the sound and found the music, and then I bring to it what I bring to it, my own passion. The thing about music, when it happens in the right way: It's the right song with the right artist with the right sound at the right time, and we have that going on right now.'
The 47th annual Grammys will air February 13 on CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET. Queen Latifah is hosting the event.
