New York, February 1 – After attracting his biggest audience in two years with Monday’s tribute to his mentor, the late Johnny Carson, late-night talk show host David Letterman rolled out his own signature antics again on Tuesday. With NFL star Peyton Manning, Letterman went outside the theater, stopped traffic along 53rd Street, and tried to hurl footballs through the open back windows of moving taxicabs. Meanwhile, Debra Messing, schmoozing her movie "The Wedding Date", also came outside, signing autographs for fans and kissing and cuddling with her husband, actor Daniel Zelman. Never one to miss an opportunity, Bill Gates planted minions outside the Letterman studio, handing out t-shirts promoting the new Microsoft search engine. By the way, neither Letterman nor Manning managed to sail a football through one of the taxi windows.
