Headlining Friday, December 9th in Chicago @ Club MODA

KCJ- Based in Chicago, IL, DJ KCJ is one of the city's most promising young emerging artists. After growing up on the local dance music scene and traveling to cities like NY, Miami and London, KCJ was able to get a taste of world-class DJ talent and dance music.  His experiences and keen ear for good music left him salivating at the opportunity to create his own unique sound, which encompasses a myriad of dance music genres from around the world.  KCJ's style can be best described as a smooth blend of heavy-hitting, high-energy, dirty-yet-sexy form of house music.
Because of his success as a DJ, KCJ has been given the opportunity to play along with the likes of Jonathan Peters, Armin Van Buurren, Judge Jules, Oscar G (MURK) and DJ Skribble just to name a few.  He has also graced the main room of every major venue in Chicago including Crobar, Soundbar, Vision, Zentra and Moda.  With his continued hard work and dedication, KCJ will continue to shape the sound of dance music in Chicago, leaving others to follow his path, while also becoming a DJ sensation and fan favorite.

Billy the Kid - Dedicated, innovative, and talented are not just catch phrases when it comes to describing a dj such as Billy the Kid. As a child, Billy had an immense love for music in all its forms. Learning to play instruments such as the piano, drums, guitar, and the saxophone by age 13, he quickly gained a craving for something more. He looked for something that could not only challenge his skills but would also keep his passion for music in perspective. Unable to attend niteclubs, Billy learned about dance music the way a lot of Chicagoans did, at Chicago house parties. Fascinated by the energy of the music, he decided to turn his musical talents to the “decks”.

Buying records and expanding his knowledge, Billy fed his insatiable desire to dj as much as he could. Listening to likes of such electronic artists as Paul Oakenfold and Bad Boy Bill constantly, it’s not hard to see where his inspiration came from. After developing skills from his good friend and mentor Dj Bam Bam, Billy felt ready to showcase his ability to the public. Spinning around at local parties and events built both his confidence and know how for the industry.

After traveling the Midwest and gaining respect from many Billy found himself at the doors of B96. Billy was caught completely by surprise when he recieved the call to be a B96 Mixmaster, even-though everyone knew it was his time. Being the youngest Mixmaster ever on B96 meant Billy had to be on top of his game at all times.

WBBM – FM Chicago B96.3 hosts one of the largest and most respected mix shows in the country. With his resident mixes airing weekly on B96 radio and guest mixes abroad his dj career has grown dramatically. Being in such demand has now put Billy in a constant whirlwind of gigs in Chicago and throughout the U.S.

Today Billy has done well to start spinning across the country, thrilling crowds wherever he goes. His live performance would be considered a built blend of House and Trance combined with scratching and tricks from start to finish. The love he has for the music and the respect he receives from his peers and fans has put him in the forefront of his field. Catching a live performance from Billy will surely explain why he does what he does and why he is so respected by so many. From recently playing for companies like Spundae, MTV, Godskitchen, and Vivid Video, to spinning at elite clubs and large-scale events, you can expect even greater things in the future to come from this astoundingly young dj and producer!
Keep your eyes open people, this kid is only getting started…

Headlining Saturday, December 10th in Milwaukee @ Club MOCT:

DJ Fortune- Born and raised in England, Fortune got hooked on electronic music during the eruption of rave culture in the late 80s and early 90s. She moved to California in 1993, right as Dr. Dre dropped the Chronic and sought out her hip-hop education. In 1999 she started djing playing mostly hip-hop. 2 months later she played her first gig and soon had residencies at underground Milwaukee hip-hop establishments Mars Hotel and Quarters. She developed her style to include house, breaks and techno and went on to play almost every venue that Milwaukee had to offer, from Dish to Thai Joes, Three to Fly Bar, as well as playing venues in Chicago and Madison.
Her achievements include winning the Triple Threat DJ Battle in 2003; being the featured Info DJ in 2004; founding LadyBeats, a monthly event promoting the female DJ as normal, not novelty; founding and running For U Events and For U DJ Collective, which currently holds down 3 weekly events and 2 monthly’s in the city of Milwaukee. Her residencies have allowed her to play alongside numerous djs but the highlight of her DJ experience so far, was visiting Qbert at his home in San Francisco and scratching with him and Flare at the Octagon.

Fortunes’ main mission however, will always be to make people happy. “Some dj for the buzz of controlling the crowd, some for glory, others for the creativity. Since I was a child I have always been moved by music; providing the medium that brings that same enjoyment to others, making them smile, dance or just close their eyes for a moment, is what really fulfills me.”

Epiphic & Soul System- Soul System is a new experience in house music. Combining original electronic rhythms with live instrumental improvisations, this band conceives, edits, and mixes their unique sound in real-time: live and on stage. They appeal to a diverse audience and perform well in a variety of settings, including outdoor festivals, electronic music venues, upscale martini lounges, jazz clubs, and favorite local pubs and bars that feature live music. Soul System typically delivers a non-stop three-hour set, preceded by opening acts that feature DJs and bands alike. Soul System can adapt to any audience, and more importantly, they can work any crowd into a frenzy. The end result is always the same: jammed dance floors and great vibes.
