New York, December 4, 2005 – Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick brought their Tony-winning musical, "The Producers", to the screen, this time with Uma Thurman in the role of Ulla. At the premiere on Sunday, the previously non-singing, non-dancing Thurman told us that she was intimidated by her costars. “You know that they know what they’re doing, and that you don’t.” Also new to the musical genre is Will Ferrell, but he didn’t tell us about it. Take note, "Queer Eye" fans, Jai Rodriguez reports that he’s “kind of naked” in the movie. "The Producers" is coming out just at the right time for Roger Bart, whose creepy "Desperate Housewives" character was just killed off. He said doing the TV show was a blast.
The movie opens December 25, but if you need a Lane/Broderick fix before then, they're currently starring in Broadway's "The Odd Couple".
