Scout Taylor-Compton, the 16-year-old actress who had been missing for nearly two weeks from her family's Apple Valley, California home, was found on Thursday and returned safely to her family.
While officials at the San Bernadino County Sheriff's Department refuse to give details, they say that school friends of Taylor-Compton alerted school officials after her parents went public with the fact that she was missing on Wednesday of this week.
Officials said there was no sign of any criminal activity and that they were treating the case as a runaway. The actress appeared healthy but refused to explain her exact whereabouts over the past two weeks.
Taylor-Compton is best known for her role in the 2004 teen comedy 'Sleepover' and for her role as Clara on the television show 'Gilmore Girls.' Her most recent project was a role in the independent film 'Tomorrow Is Today' which completed shooting in June.
For now, everybody is just relieved to have the 16-year-old actress home safely.
