Molina & McKellen Added to 'Da Vinci Code' Cast

Director Ron Howard has added two more cast members to the much anticipated movie adaptation of the Dan Brown best-selling novel, 'The Da Vinci Code.' Alfred Molina and Ian McKellen have both been added to the cast according to a published report in 'Variety.'

Molina will play the role of Bishop Arigarosa, the head of the Opus Dei secret sect while McKellen will play Sir Teabing.

Tom Hanks is the lead in the film, playing Robert Langdon. Audrey Tautou plays Sophie Neveau, the cryptographer who works with Langdon to crack the code.

Shooting for the film is scheduled to begin this June. The tentative release date for 'The Da Vince Code' is May 16, 2006. The book has sold more than 17 million copies worldwide despite opposition to it by the Vatican.
