The Philadelphia Film Festival is running strong, with sold out show after sold out show. The film festival in it's 14th year is proving to be one of the top American Film Festivals, directors have been flown in from around the world to showcase their films and do Q&A's afterwards. Directors who have or will be making appearances during the film festival have included Damon Dash, Todd Solondz and Steve Buscemi.
The Philadelphia Film Festival has just announced the full slate of Festival Favorites, which run on Tuesday, April 19.

The festival's first award was announced last night - the Jury Award for Best Short Animation. The winner was "Hello", by Jonathan Nix of
Australia, from the "Family Funimation" program.
In second place was "9", by Shane Acker of the U.S., from "It Came From Planet 3-D," and in third place was Billy Plympton's "The Fan and The
Flower", also from "Family Funimation."
