Running back Corey Dillon has signed a five-year $25 million contract extension with the New England Patriots. According to a report published in the 'Boston Globe,' the first two years and $10 million of the deal are guaranteed.
Dillon joined the Patriots prior to the 2004 season and set a franchise record by gaining 1,635 yards and averaged 4.7 yards per carry. He helped New England to their third Super Bowl win in four years.
The 30-year old Dillon played the first seven years of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals. He now has 9,696 yards in his career.
