Halle Berry Grossest at KCA Slimefest

Los Angeles, CA, April 2 – Will Ferrell, Johnny Depp and even the audience got bathed in green slime Saturday at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards. Now in its 18th year, the KCA is so full of gross-out antics like burping contests and pie-throwing that host Ben Stiller showed up wearing a sliver jumpsuit, a sort of slime-prevention armor.

But for us, this year’s most delightfully disgusting moment was on the orange carpet, courtesy of Halle Berry. When we asked the "Catwoman" star to remove her sunglasses, she told us, “I can’t; I have pinkeye”, thereby endearing herself to the parents of the 10,000 or so children in attendance.

Will Smith’s son Trey was nearby, conducting interviews for some TV show. Justin Timberlake seemed pretty mellow, but didn’t say much. Timberlake and girlfriend Cameron Diaz arrived separately, and she must have felt lonely, since she carried what looked like a purple security blanket, and then took her aggression out by pelting Ben Stiller with cream pies.

Noting that "American Idol" co-host Ryan Seacrest will soon receive a star on the Walk of Fame (hey, we just report this stuff), we asked "Idol" terror Simon Cowell when he’ll be getting his. “I’ll never get one of those”, Cowell retorted.

Others beloved by the kids but staying slime-free included Hilary Duff, Usher, Adam Sandler and Queen Latifah.
