CBS has not announced a new host to replace Craig Kilborn on the “Late, Late Show.” Instead they have hired a series of guest hosts which may also be on-air auditions or some. The producers plan to have guest hosts on the show through October.
Drew Carey was the first host of the show after Kilborn’s departure. He will be followed by D.L. Hughley, Michael Ian Black and Ana Gasteyer for the month of September. Other guest hosts will include Tom Arnold, David Alan Grier, Ahmad Rashad, Tom Dreesen, Jim Rome, and Aisha Tyler. Producers have declined to name a permanent host and plan to have guest hosts on the show through the end of October.
'We're thrilled to have such gifted comics leading off our first two weeks of guest hosts for the fall, and we're flattered that there has been such enormous interest from talented people wanting to follow Dave,' said Rob Burnett, President and CEO of Worldwide Pants Incorporated which produces the show.
