News sources are reporting that pop princess Britney Spears,22, married back-up dancer Kevin Federline, 26, at a small ceremony in Studio City, California last night. The ceremony was attended by approximately thirty close friends and family members. The couple surprised their families with the impromptu ceremony. Another more formal party will be held in October, when the wedding was actually supposed to take place. Access Hollywood is reporting that last night's event was supposed to be an engagement dinner but that Spears and Federline decided to turn it into a surprise wedding.
This is Spears's second marriage in nine months. She married childhood friend Jason Alexander in a quckie ceremony in Las Vegas in January. That marriage was annulled after 55 hours. This is Federline's first marriage but he has two children from a relationship with actress Shar Jackson.
Spears announced her engagement to Federline in June and since then the couple have been together non-stop. Spears is eager to start a family and has told interviewers that she wants to try for a baby on her wedding night.
