Busty beauty PAMELA ANDERSON has taken a further step up the fashion ladder - by launching her own range of women's shoes.

STAR is a cruelty-free shoe line accompanying her PLAYBOY-sponsored fashion line, which includes lingerie, sportswear and an upcoming junior's line.

The former BAYWATCH star says, 'I wanted to have something that was sort of sexy and beachy but still functional.'

But Anderson's definition of functional may prove to be quite difficult for some consumers.

Co-designer NATALIE GRAY explains, 'Pamela wanted everything to be on four-and-a-half-inch heels. I don't like anything remotely sleazy, so with Pamela I wanted (to evoke) the glamorous Hollywood life.'

But Anderson insists stilettos are definitely functional for her, explaining, 'The higher the heel, the better for me. Because I fall off flat shoes.' (RGS/EW/GES)
