Veteran actor HARRISON FORD has been selected for a new drama-filled role - as a juror.

Following in the footsteps of OPRAH WINFREY, Ford has become the latest celebrity to be picked to serve jury duty.

Nobody recognised the INDIANA JONES star as he entered a Santa Monica, California, courthouse last week (ends10SEP04), and after answering a series of personal questions, he was selected to serve on a 23-day civil trial.

The case reportedly concerns a construction dispute which may be the reason the one-time carpenter was picked.

Kate Hudson reportedly escaped jury duty at the same courthouse earlier this year (04). She was released to take care of her then-newborn baby son RYDER. (RGS/WNVEX/GES)
