Rapper 50 CENT is being questioned by police after a fan accused the star of throwing a microphone at his face.

The IN DA CLUB hunk allegedly knocked TOM WILSHIRE unconscious by furiously hurling the microphone into the audience, who were booing and throwing plastic bottles at the New York musician and his G-UNIT crew at Britain's READING FESTIVAL last month.

But Wilshire insists he was one of the few fans cheering 50 Cent, who ended his performance prematurely because of the crowd's offensive behaviour.

Wilshire complains, 'His parting gift to the crowd was to hurl his microphone into the audience. It hit me and my legs went from under me.'
