Popular rapper Twista has been injured in a car accident that left one of his bodyguards dead. The rapper, whose real name is Carl Mitchell, was in a van that crashed near Erie, Pennsylvania early Monday morning. The van hit the median and rolled. The driver, who was the only one wearing a seat belt, was the only one not thrown from the vehicle. The dead man has been identified as Arthur Dixon, a close friend of Twista. The rapper, along with three other friends, was treated for minor injuries and released. Another man remains in stable condition in the hospital. No official cause of the accident has been given yet but it is suspected that the driver fell asleep at the wheel. Twista is perhaps most famous for his song “Slow Jamz” with Kanye West and Jamie Foxx.
