The lead singer of Jamiroquai, Jay Kay, lost his privileges to drive after being clocked at 105 mph on a notoriously dangerous stretch of road near Perth in Scotland. He was also fined a whopping £750.
The musician in a letter to the court stated that he had been driving at 30 mph for four hours behind slow moving traffic and saw a chance to make a move. He was driving a four-wheel drive vehicle, not a sports car and wanted to 'make the most of this overtaking opportunity'.
Sheriff Robert Mc-Creadie was unamused and told the singer his conduct was 'entirely unacceptable.'
His driving privileges have been revoked for six months.
