'The Passion of the Christ' sells 4.1 million copies in one day

'The Passion of the Christ' DVD sold 4.1 million copies in its first full day of sales. The DVD is on track to sell close to 10 million copies in the first week. This is the most sold DVD for a R Rated film in its first day of sales; however, this does not come close to the 8 million copies of Finding Nemo sold on its first day of sales.

Church groups are buying up this DVD like its the new Bible. The only extras on disc is a interview with Mel Gibson. So I would not be surprised if another issue of 'The Passion' comes out loaded with bonus features, making everyone who bought the first release to go out and buy it again.
