In a recent interview on daytime TV’s 'The View,' Teresa Heinz Kerry revealed says she doesn't regret any of the remarks she's made along the campaign trail.
'I have not said very much at all except people repeat it but what I have said, I meant to say,' Heinz Kerry said Tuesday.
However, Heinz Kerry does concede that her comments don’t always come out exactly the way she intended. The outspoken wife of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry is remembered for telling a reporter to 'shove it' this summer after saying he quoted her out of context. Heinz Kerry says the confusion can also stem from language barriers; English is not her first language.
'My intent and my expression is real, but the actual use of the words may be out of place,' said the South African-born businesswoman.
With exactly two weeks until the elections, Heinz Kerry extended support of her husband’s race.
'Anybody who went to war and stayed alive and protected a whole bunch of men and they stayed alive can do well,' she said. 'He maybe deliberates a little longer than he likes, but deliberation is not a sin in a complex world, I don't think. And he does take action and he does believe in public service.'
