More stunt casting has been announced for the new 'Dukes of Hazzard' movie. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Burt Reynolds and Willie Nelson are in final negotiations to join the cast of the movie. The film is an updated version of the 1979-1985 shoe detailing the exploits of Southern good old boys Bo and Luke Duke. Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott have signed on as Bo and Luke and Jessica Simpson was recently chosen to play their cut-offs wearing cousin.
Reynolds would play Boss Hogg, the pudgy white-suited rich man who runs the town and has it in for Bo and Luke. The role was originally played by the late Sorrell Brooke. Reynolds most recently was in 'Without a Paddle' and is currently filming a remake of his own movie 'The Longest Yard.'
Nelson would play Uncle Jesse, the beloved patriarch of the Duke clan. No word yet on whether the original Duke boys, Tom Wopat and John Schneider will cameo the way that David Soul and Paul Michael Glaser did in the remake of Starsky and Hutch.
