Shark Tale Swims To The Top Again

Once again proving that the American public can't get enough of animated fish, 'Shark Tale' maintained the #1 spot in the box-office top 10, bringing in a healthy $31.7 million and has already brought in $87.7 milliion which is more than the $70 million it cost to make. The gangster cartoon about a young fish who takes on a bunch of mobster sharks remained in the top slot for the second week in a row.

Billy Bob Thornton who recently received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame scored a touchdown at No. 2 with his new school football drama 'Friday Night Lights,' bringing in more than $20.5 million. The movie has received excellent reviews and did better than expected. Other new releases included the universally-panned Queen Latifah/Jimmy Fallon movie 'Taxi' which pulled into fourth place with around $12 million. In between, 'Ladder 49' came in third with $13.3 million. Blonde teen queen Hilary Duff's 'Raise Your Voice' didn't pull in the younger viewers and came in a distant sixth with only $4.6 million car behind the fifth picture, the thriller 'The Forgotten' which brought in $7.5 million.
