Will Tiger Woods's Marriage Score A Hole in One?

Will marriage help Tiger Woods's golf game? It couldn't hurt. Woods has had rough times on the course lately. For the first time since May 1999 he has slipped to No. 3 in the world rankings. While he once seemed unstoppable he has lately proved that he is fallible on the course. So far, his relationship with Swedish model Elin Nordegren hasn't helped much but hopefully wedded bliss will translate to links victory.

The Associated Press has reported that Tiger, whose real name is Eldrick Woods, married Swedish model Elin Nordegren in a lavish ceremony at sunset in Barbados. The picture-perfect wedding took place at the Sandy lane resort and golf course under a white-netted pagoda covered with red roses. In attendance were Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley among the approximately 120 guests. Nordegren wore an off-white sleeveless gown and Woods, 28, wore a beige suit. Hootie and the Blowfish played at the reception, which was capped off by a fireworks display.

Nordegren, 24, met Woods three years ago when she was the nanny to the children of Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik. Parnevik did not attend the wedding, opting instead to play in the Michelin Championship in Las Vegas. He has said that he and his wife will celebrate with the newlyweds privately.

The happy couple spent their wedding night on a yacht aptly named 'Privacy.' They have not made any public announcements and went to elaborate lengths to conceal the details of the wedding from the press. Woods rented out the only helicopter charter company on the remote island and also rented out the entire hotel.
