Actress Natalie Portman, said to be the leading contender to play 'Superman Return's Lois Lane, told the folks at IESB.net she wasn't interested.

Caught up during the premiere of her new movie 'Closer' (the one with the never-to-be-seen nude scenes), Portman said that although she appreciated her 'Star Wars' experience, she felt she had done enough for big-budget Sci-Fi franchises.

"A part of me is very happy that this chapter in my life is over, you know I have been working on those films since 1997 and I am so ready to move on", said Portman.

With her out of the picture (literally), rumour has it the new frontrunner would be 'Lost's Evangeline Lily.
