39-year-old actor Robert Downey Jr will take a break in-between jail terms to join the cast of Disney's 'The Shaggy Dog' remake.
Directed by Brian Robbins (Varsity Blues), the new 'Shaggy' stars Tim Allen, Danny Glover and Craig Kilborn. Downey will join as an entrepreneur who uses dogs to develop a life-extending drug.
The actor probably doesn't plan to get into trouble before 2006, since he's crammed up 3 more projects in his 2005 agenda, including Richard Linklaters's adaptation of the Phillip K. Dick story 'A Scanner Darkly'.
As for 'shaggy Dog', production has just begun, but no release date has been announced yet.
