Action star Wesley Snipes won't be doing any promotional duties for his upcoming sequel "Blade Trinity", and his reps have a hard time explaining why.
According to 'Trinity' producer Peter Frankfurt, the 42-year-old actor jumped onto another production has soon has Blade was wrapped. Frankfurt couldn't offer much further since Snipes is totally unreachable.
"Sometimes the paths of communication between us are fantastic and sometimes they're non-existent. If Wes doesn't want to do press that's a career choice he's made" said the producer, who nevertheless feels confident the star isn't trying to distance himself from a spectacular turkey.
"He hasn't called me to talk about it. If he was genuinely unhappy with the film we would have heard something. There's a lot going on in his life and he's got a lot of issues at hand so who knows. The guy is an awesome Blade."
Snipes, who also receives producer credit for the film, had a final-say contract with the studio regarding the final Blade instalment. He's had script and director apporval, and green-lighting power over all the scenes he appeared in.
"He had to sign off on absolutely everything we were doing" admitted Frankurt.
