'Mamma Mia'…the movie?

According to the folks at Moviehole.net, former ABBA mastermind Bjorn Ulvaeus is looking to translate his hit musical 'Mamma Mia' to the big screen.

The site also relates that Ulvaeus would be looking to cast Antonio Banderas, Nicole Kidman and rising star Kiera Knightley in the eventual movie. The singner-songwriter-composer thinks it might just be the right recipe for his sell-out play, saying "It could work as a film."

Well, at least two of them have proven they can sing. Banderas in Evita, Kidman in Moulin Rouge.

"Mamma Mia" is based on a compendium of songs collected from the ABBA repertoire. The story follows a Greek mother who, on the verge of her daughter's marriage, is haunted by the three possible fathers of her child.
