It's viewers may be ailing over here in the UK, but that hasn't stopped Fox Broadcasting from planning a US version of hit BBC soap 'Eastenders'. The Us company has ordered six scripts for the project, spearheaded by Simon (Pop Idol) Fuller and "EastEnder's" head writer and story consultant Tony Jordan.
The US version will revolve around the lives of blue-collar families in Chicago.
Jordan, who is said to have written 250 Eastenders episodes will write the six scripts and executive produce with Fuller.
