Rapper 'Young Buck' is being sought by Santa Monica police in connection with the stabbing that took place at the Vibe Music Awards earlier this week. 'Young Buck' is the stage name of 23 year old David Darnell Brown who is based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

On a videotape of the show, police say Brown is seen swinging a knife at Jimmy James Johnson who is presently on parole. Johnson was treated for serious stab wounds at a local hospital after the show. No motive for the stabbing incident has been established.

The incident took place while Dr. Dre, aka Andy Young, was receiving a lifetime achievement award. Dre was punched during the ensuing melee while Quincy Jones and rapper Snoop Dogg watched on.

The awards show is scheduled to be aired tonight on the UPN Network without the violent incident. Some performers, such as Alicia Keys, did not stay at the event after the fight broke out and therefore did not perform.

Young Buck is scheduled to perform a concert tonight in Des Moines, Iowa. It is not known if the show will go on.
