All-Pro wide receiver Randy Moss has now been officially counted out of Sundays game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay due to an injured right hamstring. Moss did not play in last week's Vikings loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night.
The Vikings enter the game with a 5-3 record, one game ahead of division rival Green Bay. Minnesota has lost two straight games one of which Moss did not play and another in which he made a token appearance.
Moss has made a career out of playing against the Packers and has more touchdown receptions against Green Bay than any other team. In 12 career games against Green Bay, Moss reached the end zone 11 times and tallied more than 1,200 receiving yards.
The Vikings know it will be tough to play without their most talented player but also know they have to make the best of it. 'Randy is a factor,' said Vikings running back Onterrio Smith. 'It hurts, but at the same time other guys have got to step it up.'
A Packers win would tie the two teams for first place in the NFC North division. The Packers are favored by four points.
