Today the judge in the Scott Peterson murder trial has removed the foreman from the jury, sending him home for undisclosed reasons.
This is the second juror to be dismissed from the Peterson case in the past two days, and the third since the trail began 5 months ago.
Judge Alfred A. Delucchi dismissed juror No. 5 Wednesday, and replaced him with an alternate juror -- whose son-in-law now owns a restaurant that was once owned by Scott and Laci Peterson. Delucchi then instructed the new grim faced panel to start their deliberations anew.
On Tuesday, a juror had been removed after it was discovered that she was reportedly doing her own research on the case -- an act that is in direct violation of court rules. Back in June, a juror was dismissed after he was seen having a conversation with Laci Peterson's brother.
The trial began with a pool of 6 alternate jurors, but with the latest dismissal, that pool is now down to 3.
