The unusual and quirky HBO series, Six Feet Under will soon rest in peace. Alan Ball, creative and executive producer of the show feels that it has run its course. The series, which revolves around a Southern California family that runs a funeral parlor, will conclude its run after its upcoming fifth season. The drama stars Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall, Rachel Griffiths and Frances Conroy.
In a recent statement Ball said, “Working on Six Feet Under has been enormously fulfilling creatively, but if the show is about anything, it’s about the fact that everything comes to an end.”
Production on the final season is set to begin next week. HBO has not given any definite date for when the show’s last season will air.
Ball went on to say, “I will miss working with such enormously talented writers, cast, staff and crew and I’ll always be grateful to HBO for allowing and encouraging us to tell the story we set out to tell in a challenging and uncompromising way.”
Six Feet Under can be seen on the Movie Network and Movie Central in Canada.
