Court TV Goes All Peterson All the Time

In an unprecedented move, Court TV will devote all of its coverage towards the closing arguments in the Scott Peterson murder trial. The summations, which are set to begin Monday morning and may last three full days, will be covered live with nothing but analysis of the case 24/7 until a verdict is reached.

Court TV also announced that they would cover the verdict live despite the fact that their cameras will not be permitted in the courtroom when the verdict is read. On Friday, the judge decided to ban cameras from the courtroom for the reading of the verdict in an attempt to prevent a media circus inside the courtroom. Instead, CTV will bring live coverage from outside the courthouse and instantaneous analysis, expert commentary, guests and call-in shows.

Scott Peterson is accused of murdering his wife Laci who was eight months pregnant with the couple's first child. The bodies of both Laci Peterson and the unborn fetus were found four months later and Scott Peterson was accused of the homicide. Peterson was having an extra-marital affair with Amber Frey who later testified for the prosecution. If convicted, Peterson may face the death penalty. A Court TV spokeswoman said, 'This is the most coverage we've ever devoted to a trial in which cameras were not allowed in the courtroom.'
