The folks at KongIsKing.net have posted an interesting rumor regarding Peter Jackson’s next project, once he’s done with his “King Kong” remake.

According to the site, a very strong rumor suggests a WW1 epic about the ANZACS, the Australian and New Zealand army corps. The ‘venture’ would apparently be reconstructed into a WW1 Minesweeper.

The news does contradict dome earlier rumors on Jackson’s post “Lord Of The Ring” years. The director mentioned a few months ago that he was looking to tone done his productions after Kong, with a much smaller scale, budget and story for his next film. And some persistent reports still pit him back in the Tolkien universe, with “The Hobbit”
