Lee Evans Joins 'The Magic Roundabout'


Lee Evans has joined the cast of the upcoming Magic Roundabout movie. He will play a new character, the "plucky and courageous" Train. Evans joins Robbie Williams, Kylie Minogue, Sir Ian McKellen, Bill Nighy, Jim Broadbent, Joanna Lumley and Tom Baker.



Lee Evans is currently appearing on stage in London's West End in Mel Brooks's The Producers. He has also appeared in a number of movies including Mouse Hunt, There's Something About Mary and Funny Bones.

"It's really exciting to be involved in this project," said Evans.

"The Magic Roundabout has become something of a national treasure. Now we can pass this on to the next generation to enjoy." he told BBCi.

The Magic Roundabout is released in February 2005.
