Before work has even began on the "Wolverine" movie, 20th Century Fox has announced a solo feature for another high-profile mutant: Magneto.
Fox has already tapped scribe Sheldon Turner, who began his Hollywood career with the currently-filming "The Longest Yard", will shape the a stiry that set the character back to his youth, which was hinted at in Brian Singer's original "X-Men".
"I pitched a film that is almost 'The Pianist' meets 'X-Men,'" said Turner to Variety, "about a guy who, after watching his family slaughtered, has an awakening of his powers and seeks revenge."
The time table might not allow Sir Ian McKellen to appear, nor Patrick Stewart as Xavier, who is said to play an important part in the movie.
