Former SNL pals David Spade and Rob Schneider have signed to a new comedy pitch entitled "Bench Warmers".

The sports comedy will follow a trio of athletically challenged loosers who try to boost their own confidence by taking own little-league teams. Producer Adam Sandler came up with the concept, but isn't expected to appear due to filming on his own sports comedy "The Longest Yard".

The project, fast-tracked by Revolutions Studios, should star production as soon as April, hopefully with a director and third star signed on by then…
