According to MTV, the guys from 80s rock band Motley Crue will themselves produce a feature film adaptation of their biography entitled "The Dirt". Production is expected to get under way next spring.

"The script is basically done," said band bassist Nikki Stixx. "As executive producers, we need to weed out any of the weak s***. We like to do things we've never done before, so we're excited about it"

The band enjoys a popularity renewal these days, with a reunion tour scheduled in the next few months, and a somewhat strange appearance at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this week.
