The first Bond rumour of the week! U.K. newspaper The Daily Mirror reported that EON Productions have called upon Aussie soap actor Jaason Simmons (that's not a typo) to join the 007 Musical Chair.

Simmons first appeared in the Australian short-live soap "Paradise Beach" in '93, before jumping to a bigger beach among the "Baywatch" cast from 1994 to 1996. His credits since then are limited to a few TV movies and some low-budget features. According to the paper, the actor and his agent were called away from vacation this weekend to test for the part.

Who knows? Bond might look good running around in slow-mo, wearing a red swimsuit…
