Actor Jerry Orbach, best known for his role in the hit TV show 'Law & Order' announced today that he has prostate cancer.
Orbach's manager, Robert Malcolm, made the announcement today. 'We expect he'll be fine. He's been playing golf, shooting his episodes and doing real well.'
Orbach left the cast of 'Law & Order' this year after 12 successful seasons on the show. He is now shooting a spin-off to be called, 'Law & Order: Trial by Jury,' which is set to begin airing next fall.
Producer Dick Wolfe indicated that he would work with Orbach to allow him to continue shooting whenever possible. 'We expect him to make a full and swift recovery, and while he is receiving treatment, we will work around his schedule,' Wolf told the 'New York Daily News.'
In addition to 'Law & Order', Orbach has appeared in such well known films as 'Dirty Dancing' and 'Crimes and Misdemeanors.'
